About Me
Who Are You?
My name’s Carter Schoenfeld. I live in Lexington, Kentucky.
Are you from Kentucky?
Nope. I was born and raised in Napa, California, but I’ve also lived in North Carolina and Ohio.
What do you do for a living?
Computer stuff. Mainly PC support, but I also do computer training and web design. I mostly support Windows-based machines but I’m in the process of learning Linux and Mac so that I can support those platforms as well.
What’s with the blog title?
I used to host this site myself on a computer in order to learn more about Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. There were many times that I would change one line of code and test it only to find that I had somehow broken the whole thing. I would stare at the one change saying “This Should Work!” Sometimes right before bed I would come up with a solution to the problem, get up, and make the changes to no avail and say “No, This Should Work!” So once I got it working, it seemed like an appropriate title.
Now I’ve got a job and don’t have time to tweak with my server whenever something goes wrong; it’s now hosted at godaddy.com
Got any family?
I’m here in Kentucky with my wife and daughter,Lily, and two dogs-pugs named Yoda and Spike. Most of my family (mom, dad, brother, etc) is in California.
What do they do?
My wife is an English Professor at University of Kentucky. Lily’s a baby, so she mostly eats, sleeps, and cries. My dogs. . .well they eat, sleep, and bark.
