TSW dog kennel is officially open
Last week our house was officially approved by Kentuckiana Pug Rescue to be a foster home for pugs. Yesterday, the first pugs arrived.
That’s right pugs, plural. Including our two pugs Spike and Yoda, we now have five pugs running throughout our house. It’s a little crazy with the three new ones in our house, but it’s also alot fun. Two of them, Lexi and Otis, will be leaving us tomorrow for another home, while the other, Charlie, will be with us for an indeterminate amount of time.
The five dogs are getting on as well as could be expected-a couple of spats have occured and it took them fifteen minutes to stop whining and go to sleep- and we’ll only have five until Tuesday. We’ll survive.
Hopefully, pictures of the pugs will be up tonight.
I. Can’t. Even. Imagine.
Good luck!
I just want to publicly thank my awesome husband, who, once upon a time, didn’t really want a dog, and who now says ‘5 dogs in our house? we can hack it!’ (and means it). Secretly, I was unsure about whether we could do this, but his vote of confidence tipped the scales, and it turns out, it is fun. Thanks honey; looking forward to being able to actually get next to you on the couch.
Congratulations!! I am so excited for you four. Any pug lucky enough to arrive on your doorstep is truly blessed. Hoo-ray! But also - FIVE PUGS?!?!?!? Wow. That’s a lot of snubnose love you’ve got there.
We went to a family reunion in Fresno this past weekend. One of my cousins has two friends who live in Fresno and have turned their home into a pug rescue. They have 22 pugs. My cousin Lauren says they are practically destitute so they can care for these dogs. I would like to do something like that, but not 22 dogs!
